I am Lead AI Scientist at piur imaging GmbH in Vienna, Austria. My responsibilities include:
  • Leading Research and Development of Deep Learning models for medical applications,
  • Planning design and development of Deep Learning workflows (MLOps),
  • Coaching young ai engineers.

Senior Deep Learning Scientist at piur imaging GmbH in Vienna, Austria. My responsibilities include:
  • Research and Development of Deep Learning models for medical applications,
  • Design and development of Deep Learning workflows (MLOps),
  • CI/CD improvements implementation, and
  • Coaching young ai engineers.
2018-2020
Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Anyline in Vienna, Austria.
My responsibilities included:
  • Research and Development of Deep Learning models for various use cases on mobile devices. ,
  • Leading Anyline projects in the role of Project Manager,
  • Improving agile processes in the role of Scrum Master, and
  • Coaching young ai engineers.
2016-2017
Computer Vision Developer at the Kiwisecurity (now Videoanalytic department of Genetec) in Vienna, Austria
My responsibilities included:
  • Optimize and develope video-surveillance applications ,
  • Restructuring of testing and deployment on GPU of existing applications,
  • Improving agile processes in the role of Scrum Master, and
  • Coaching young engineers.
2012-2016
I earned a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Vision from the University of Vienna, where I was supervised by Univ-Prof Dr Otmar Scherzer. During my PhD studies I was a member of the Computational Science Center (CSC). In my thesis I investigated Variational models of visual attention with a special focus on dynamic sequences.
2011-2012
I was a Research Associate for the SMILE Project, a University of Naples Spin-off.
My responsibilities included:
  • Creation of an uncalibrated eye-tracker ,
  • Developing the City & Bus application for iOS,
  • Coaching Master degree students.
2008-2011
I obtained an MSc in Computer Science from University Federico II of Naples. My master's thesis was on "Uncalibrated eye-tracking system using Machine Learning for the prediction of the Point of Gaze" and was primarily supervised by Univ-Prof Dr Francesco Isgrò. Prior to my master's studies I graduated with a BSc in Computer Science.
